Identify all roles, actors, and responsible parties. Where roles are implicit, use source-type heuristics: - Book/notes: define at minimum the practitioner role (the person following the playbook) - Scientific paper: roles are almost always implicit — infer from who would implement the method (e.g. ML Engineer, Data Engineer, Researcher). Only add agents if they meaningfully differentiate who does what. If all activities would have the same agent, consider omitting agents entirely — undifferentiated agents add no value and create noise.
