Classify the source type AND sub-type:
Book: methodology (process-focused), reference (lookup-focused), narrative (story-focused)
Scientific paper: methods (new technique), survey (literature review), empirical (measurement study), position (argument/opinion)
Personal notes: how-to (procedural), reflective (lessons learned), reference (collected facts)
The sub-type drives extraction heuristics downstream: methods papers concentrate process in the Method section; surveys require cross-source synthesis; empirical papers have process in experimental design; books tend to have explicit roles and artifacts; notes embed goals in prose.
